A WW1 officers trench watch.

The watch has its original porcelain dial which is in used condition does have hairlines and some small chips, has classic red 12 and Roman numerals, the watch hands are the original blue steel hands which are in super condition with no rusting. The crystal is the correct mineral crystal which does have scratches to the centre from age and use. Watch comes on quite possibly its original leather strap which is still in good order marked Victor 529336 leather is still supple and the stiching is good. The watch case is of solid silver and is Chester hallmarked for 1914, front cover is a snap cover and fits well to the case, rear covers are both hinged and also snap tight to the case, on the back of the outer rear cover there are ghost marks from the strap, case has good straight wire lugs no repairs, the watch crown is the original correct onion shaped crown. The watch movement is very clean for its age it is maker signed, the watch winds well, hands adjust smoothly, keeps good time, runs for over 12 hours, we do advise a service and clean on this watch as it has not been used for some years. A chance to own a good large 34mm across excluding the crown WW1 officers solid silver trench watch, the watch is in an as found condition with age related wear and tear.
